Today I am going to start a new weekly post for all you craft beer heads out there. The purpose is to give everyone an overview of the beers we reviewed throughout the week in case you happened to miss a day (shame on you). So, without further adieu, here is what happened at The World of BeerCraft last week.
Monday - Dunz and I were enjoying Labor Day as every red-blooded American should have by sitting on the couch, drinking beer and not doing anything!
Tuesday - I started off the shortened work week with a delicious review of Surly Darkness 2010. This was by far the best Russian Imperial Stout I've ever had. Find the 2011 version during Darkness Day in October!
Wednesday - Dunz reviewed Moylans Old Blaney Barleywine. It was apparently OK. Not great, but good. Maybe a year of age may help?
Thursday - I brought everybody the first review of a pumpkin ale for the Autumn season. Shipyard's Smashed Pumpkin ended up being drinkable. But I was not a fan of the cinnamon overload I was greeted with.
Friday - Epic Brewing Imperial IPA was had by Dunz. For $5, he thinks this bottle is a great price!
Saturday - After an epic win over Iowa by Iowa State I celebrated with Hacker Pschorr's Original Oktoberfest. This was a great Oktoberfest. Smooth, malty and a great example of what an Oktoberfest should taste like.
